3 Simple Steps to Weight Loss Success, Exciting Reality TV Show News

This is my first blog post this week (I’m sorry) as I have been busy traveling. Now that I’m back home I want to fill you in on some exciting news from my travels.

I’m just back from a trip that started in San Diego and then I flew to Scottsdale, Arizona. What a change from 70 degrees each day in San Diego to 110 degrees in Scottsdale. It’s funny how heat affects me, suddenIy I can see myself walking in slow motion. Thank goodness for air conditioning is all I can say!

Some exciting things happened in Scottsdale, I was asked to be on a Reality TV Show where we are helping transform the lives of three women. These women will be working with a group of experts (myself included) over 13 weeks in a variety of areas such as career/business coaching including help with starting their own business, life and style coaching, relationship coaching, weight loss coaching (my role), fitness training, you name it, these three ladies will be getting it.

I’m so excited to be a part of this amazing team, but mostly I’m so honored to be able to help two out of the three amazing women (Rachel and Sarah) make complete life transformations (the third doesn’t have to lose weight).

Each week I will be coaching them over the phone for an hour session, and then we will have a second call each week where I will check in with them and make sure they have the accountability and support they need.

I’m glad to be back home again and excited to start coaching Rachel and Sarah. I will share more information on when the show will air soon. Now on for some tips for you for today!

Three Simple Steps to Weight Loss Success

1.    Get a support partner or group. Having a support partner is an easy way to stay focused and on track. It’s wonderful to have someone to share your achievements with and be accountable to. Together, you can keep one another on task, stay motivated and be creative as to how you intend to let go of your extra pounds. Another option is hire a coach or to join a support group.

2.    Persistence is key. To be successful at anything in your life, you need to be persistent. With weight loss, you must go on resolutely in spite of opposition, obstacles, discouragement, etc. Persistence is also needed in training yourself to stop the negative mind chatter that says you can’t do this; you must persist and not lose focus on the magnificent mind-body connection.

3.    Advice…everyone has some. Take a look both physically and mentally at the people who give you advice before you take it to heart. A physically fit, healthy person with a positive attitude about life will most likely give you good advice, whereas a person who doesn’t “walk their talk” is not one you want to follow.

These are three simple steps you can start to take right now to have the body you have always wanted.

If you are looking for a coach please feel free to contact me, even if I am not available I would be happy to recommend one for you. Feel free to email me at melonie@mindbodyfx.com.

Sounds great, Melonie. I hope that it isn't just a local broadcast. I am starting up a business and would love to watch the show--and it would be good to get rid of that extra 20 pounds, too!
